I’m pretty pumped about the Simpsons Movie coming out later this month - almost as pumped as I am about Guitar Hero Encore - Rocks the 80s coming out the day afterwards. I’m currently on day 3 of my first ever 2-week-vacation in forever and there’s tons of stuff to be happy for. I’m learning to do custom songs on the Guitar Hero game, I’m learning astrology and getting certified, we’re having a huge birthday party for our daughter who turns 13 today, and the rain is doing wonders for our yard.
Part of my excitement for the Simpsons Movie is that our local 7-11 has Buzz Cola! And I bought a six-pack. The guy behind the counter said they also had Duff Beer but they sold out.
Wow. Just wow.
I also have an action shot of Buzz Cola in my fridge at work, making me officially the coolest geek on my block.
They had Chief Wiggum posters on the doughnuts, and some t-shirts I hadn’t seen before, and the actual “Homer Sprinkly Donut” on sale.
I don’t mind the sell-out. I want me my Simpsons gear!

Who am I to argue with commands like that? “You must get 5 donuts…” And beer is a bonus item!?!!?!? What a game!
While I personally think this is a great blog entry, mainly I’m just testing my new snazzy “notify me of followup comments via e-mail” plugin that doesn’t seem to be working right.

It worked! I had to upgrade to v 2.1.1, deactivate and activate, and move the plugin to it’s own subdirectory, _and_ test with different email addresses (any or none of which might be responsible for fixing the problem) and it works!
Now everyone can be subscribed to bloggy goodness!

Ren, there’s a way to use a modded ps2, make a backup of the guitar hero game, edit the files with a custom C# program called GHEX (Guitar Hero Explorer), replace existing songs with a combo midi-file and mp3 file, then re-burn onto high quality media, then play. Search YouTube for ‘custom guitar hero’ and you can see people playing metallica, led zeppelin, acdc, and hundreds of other songs. I’m currently in the ‘modding’ stage (purchased a kit from modchip.com that should come in next week) and have built an iso with 6 custom songs. I can’t wait to get this to work.
Jen, yes, and not only that, it’s the BEST fruit cup - Cherry Mixed Fruit by Del Monte! I’m no fan of cherries, but when it’s in a cup, it flavors the rest of the syrup just enough to be heavenly. You can have it if you want
