Jaden and I have had a wonderful time trying to play Transformers: The Game for the Playstation that we rented from Blockbuster.
He’s 5. I’m 36. Both of us are having a great time but still feel like we’re getting nowhere. The game is very challenging (which is good) but also very fun, even when failing.
It’s like people’s fascination and addiction to golf. It’s easy to get the swing of things (haha, pun intended), but it’s hard to master. You sometimes get these little glimpses of excellence, and its those times that keep you going. But for the most part, you suck.
The game is like that. Some of these “sub missions” or “challenges” are incredibly annoying! One is where you have to pick up 20 cogs within 2 minutes, and they’re hidden all over a power plant. I’ve gotten as high as finding 19 of them, but most of the time I just get 12 or 14. Part of the problem is when you’re in “car mode” (duh, you can transform between a robot and a car) and you get stuck on something in front of you. It’s so darn slow to turn around! ARGH!
One of the cool things about the game is you can choose if you want to be an Autobot (good guy) or a Decepticon (bad guy).

Now, I got a sunburn over the weekend. We went to Six Flags again in San Antonio and I chose to put on sunscreen waaaayyyyy too late. So my shoulders and chest are flaming red and, yes, they hurt a lot. Tea Tree Oil and Aloe Vera has been applied in a lavish manner, but still, it’s a bit of pain.
And this morning I…
sneezed.
really.
hard.
And anyone who’s had a sunburn and sneezed hard knows how instantly the pain can shoot through your upper layers of skin.
Sometimes you wanna be a Decepticon.

I’m the Queen of Sunburns… I can soooo relate.
Sue, woohoo! mine’s finally turned not so pink today! I always used to think “pshaw, I’m above sunscreen.” I’m glad I get nagged into some things
