Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

I love drinking good, cold milk.  I prefer whole if possible, but 2% usually fits the bill since that’s what the family drinks.

But most of the time, the milk just isn’t cold enough.  So I now am in the habit of pouring myself a glass, and then sticking it in the freezer for ten to fifteen minutes.

Glass of cold milk

You can still see the frostiness of the mug.  You can also see I have voicemail.  Boy, aren’t YOU perceptive?

Mmmmm, cooooooold milk.  It’s the only way to go.  Yesterday it washed down the last 4 Golden Oreos in the house.

So I am happy for the cold milk but am lamenting the departure of my dear circular friends.

And lo, the people did comment thus:

OK, now I *need* some Golden Oreos!

  2. Hilly says:

I need to do one of those “100 Things” posts because one of my “things” is that I don’t drink milk. I view it more as a say….condiment ;) .

Ren, yes I agree. I’m picking a bag up on my way home. And a half-gal of whole milk because I’m gonna splurge tonight. My team fixed a *major* performance issue at work today and its cause to celebrate!

Hilly, if by condiment you mean that miulk always accompanies something, then I’d have to agree most of the time. It goes in my cereal or washes down sweets like Golden Oreos, Ho-Hos, DingDongs, a peanut butter sandwich, etc. Sometimes if I’m hungry but need something to tide me over until mealtime, a glass of milk can work wonders.

  4. Ren says:

So you’re bringing some Golden Oreos to Pool tonight? Awesome!

  5. whall says:

I promise if I can get past the guard at the door, I’ll bring some in. We did make it to playoff’s in 8-ball, after all.

WARNING: Shooter’s probably doesn’t serve milk.

  6. Poppy says:

I put ice in my skim milk. Ice milk is the best effing beverage on the effing planet, next to beer. :D And fountain soda Coke. And ice water.

Hmm, I might have the order on that wrong.

  7. sourpuss says:

I don’t generally drink milk but I agree that, if I do, it’s usually skim and it must be ice cold & accompanied by something. To drink it by itself at a less than freezing temperature is just gross.

  8. whall says:

Poppy, I can’t do the ice thing in milk. I tried making milk ice cubes once, to add to my milk to keep it even colder while drinking, but … um, milk doesn’t freeze too well. Too chunky. And I love fountain Coke (not Pepsi) but highly prefer canned Pepsi (not Coke). Something about the can, sharp taste, etc that doesn’t translate to fountain drinks.

Sourpuss, I love Borden’s High-Protein skim milk – it’s about the same as 1% but still has a mostly-whole-milk gluey taste — mmmmm, good.
