Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

Today you get a Twofer.  It’s like a Tweeter and a Woofer put together.

Why is Adobe pushing Norton?

I understand partnerships.  I understand increasing revenue streams, and creating new marketing channels.  But why is the Adobe Shockwave update installer pushing Norton with it’s most recent upgrade?

The screenshot shows the checkbox unchecked, but that’s because I unchecked it.  The default was to have it checked.  ARGH that’s annoying.  And everyone and their brother is pushing Google Desktop, and then the Google installer pushes the Yahoo toolbar (I think; I might be remembering it wrong).

So many things just don’t work well together and slow the system down.  I’m running personal firewall, antivirus, anti-spyware, this security app, that scanning tool, Office 2007, Picasa (which has it’s own media detector) and a million other things.

What pushy software have you run into recently?

Blogger Choice Awards

The end is coming.  I see it clearly, there on the horizon.  It’s smoking hot, doggedly huffing and puffing, diligently focused on bringing Armageddon to the world.  It has blocked out most of the sun with it’s blackness engulfing all that is good and pure.

Revelations 48:11 clearly states

Lo, and a form spoke unto me.  The seven-headed dragon with its seven trumpets sounded aloud such that the ground shooketh, my bones rattleth and my StarBucks spilleth.  The beast did raise it’s head and gazed upon my soul with piercing stars of eye.  It said unto me “if you see Rosie in the lead in the Blogger Choice Awards, kiss your ass buenos noches*.  I will come for everyone’s soul and smite thee down with wrath and vengeance the likes of which you haven’t seen since the media turned on Britney.

BWAAAAAAAAA!  Rosie O’Donnell is in a commanding lead for “Best Celebrity Blogger” over at the Blogger Choice Awards!  I surely know there is no more accurate indicator of The End Times.

rosie o'donnell in the lead, tsk tsk

I just don’t believe it.  She’s ahead of EVERYONE by like 8-to-1!  Even Pam Beesley (Jenna Fisher from The Office), and Scott Adams (Creator of Dilbert) and Zach Braff!

PLEASE do the right thing and go over there, register and VOTE FOR ANYONE BUT ROSIE!  We cannot let the world down.

Hint: you can click on the names above and vote for those people.  You can see what I’ve voted for as well.  I think.

UPDATE: I was just reminded by a friend that today is Talk Like A Pirate Day, so all your comments should be in the form of Pirate Speak.  It’s just too bad the Dialectizer doesn’t have Pirate as a drop-down.  The translator tool at TLAP site is either down or gives useless suggestions.

And lo, the people did comment thus:

Jennefer, yeah, but the translator leaves something to be desired. The Dialectizer woulda done it better methinks.

Sue, yeah, I’m no fan either.

cheldear, I compose most of my posts on my blackberry while driving to work. Wait, maybe I shouldn’t say that in case I’m ever in an accident and someone looks through my blog for evidence.

Hey, we all want to share our voice. And I particularly love comments, especially if you took the time to read my blog entry. I'll take the time to read your comment, I swear! But due to spammers, robots, and the fact that I want my blog to be PG rated, I need to approve the comments. This should be same day, but please don't get mad if it takes me a while to approve the comment.
