Come on in and stay a while… laugh a little. Maybe even think. Read more...

Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

I don’t blog on Saturdays.

Most of the time, anyway.  So since you’re here looking, I might as well give you something.

Guess the planet:

Now, no fair looking at the name of the file in the image properties.  Or the tags!  Or the picture!  You have to guess the planet WITHOUT having read this post.  Then you’ll really prove you’re *something*.

And lo, the people did comment thus:

  1. Mr. Fabulous says:

Looks like Jupiter to me, but it’s been a couple of years since I was there.

  2. Jennefer says:

“What is Planet of the apes?” Did I win? Huh huh? If not, then I am going to cheat and go with Mr. Fabulous’ great answer, “What is Jupiter?”.

  3. Absurdist says:

Wayne, there are so many other more challenging planets, clusters, nebulas, etc. This is the best you could come up with?
When do I get my birthday present?

You should have asked specific questions about the atmosphere, eye, turbulent storms, etc. THAT would have been challenging. Or at least, how many moons there are…

Here’s one for you; which of Saturn’s moons has the most likelihood of frozen water on it?

And no, I am not saying this planet is saturn. Duh.

  4. whall says:

Did I mention I don’t blog on Saturdays?

  5. Absurdist says:

Oh, and here’s one. Which galaxy is closest to ours, and which will, inevitably, absorb out galaxy?

Or, why do astronomers believe the universe is a doughnut?

Or, is it physically possible to exceed the speed of light, and why?

Or, what type of scientist studies solar flares 100% of the time in order to determine radiation levels and threats to our atmosphere?

Or, which planet is currently en route to collide with Earth?

So you don’t blog on Saturdays… but god, you took the time to come up with a pic… Geez… :-)

BTW, OSU and A&M are televised; but I guess I missed the Texas OU game on TV. This will be a tighter game. A&M kicked Baylor’s a** last week; but in the beginning, I really didn’t think that A&M was going to pull it out because of Baylor’s defense. They do have a good defense this year… And A&M couldn’t seem to throw for crap last week. Let’s see how tonight goes… it’s 0 and 0 in the second…

  7. Absurdist says:

Nevermind. OSU just scored, and it was a da*n good score too…. I bet OSU pulls this one out.

  8. Dave2 says:

    Is it Uranus?

    BWAH HA HA HA HAAAAA!

  9. Absurdist says:

OOOO the big guns have come out… Potty humor.

I am soooo PI**ED OFF. A&M COULD NOT SUCK MORE. FOUR DOWNS AT THE FRICKEN GOAL LINE AND THEY COULDN’T GET THE BALL ACROSS. Lane runs into his own guys TWICE. Headbutts OSU like, runs right into the guy. No defense; MY GOD how did these guys even beat Baylor last week? I mean, good god… This is so incredibly pathetic. It took them three downs with 1 yard out to score, and that was a pathetic gimme…. My dogs are afraid of me I am screaming so loud… They haven’t sucked this bad since the late 90’s…

  10. Absurdist says:

Well, I thought we were going to have to call Farah Fawcett on A&M and tell them “Thank you for almost being here”, but they apparently decided to show up to the game in the fourth. I think that they took crack at the half, and it just didn’t kick in until end of the third. Even Lane redeemed himself. I am still upset that no one was where they were supposed to be for the qback; OSU can at least get their players into position to catch the pass. Every pass A&M makes is a fricken’ hail mary.

So, it’s 24/20 A&M, and I am goign to sign off here, because I have to go scream a bunch… It’s still an open game with 5 min…. We’ll see. Texas lost to OU, but don’t now by how much. I’ll blog about it tomorrow.

But to be fair, even if A&M wins this one, it should be OSU’s game. They are the superior team. No question about it.

Wayne, thank you for letting me blog on your blog. :-) Not that you would have had a choice anyway.

Mr Fab, and not only that, I heard you were drunk and/or passed out the whole time, so it’s not like the length of time since then is really a factor.

Jennefer, I’m glad to see that you went “outside the box” with your answer, er, um, question. Plus, you get bonus points for mentioning an awesome movie! “Get your blogs off me, you damn, dirty ape!”

Absurdist, I wasn’t going for challenging. I was going for convenient. And I don’t know the answers to any of your challenging questions, and I pretty much don’t watch football unless with someone else who wants to. I like watching a good close game but I could mostly care less who’s playing. Except the Vikings - I’m a Vikes fan. Go Vikes!

Dave2, as a matter of fact, even WITH the huge red bump/blemish, the astronomical size, the fact that it’s mostly gas, and gives off it’s own light, it is NOT what you guessed.

All, to answer the question, it’s “Didn’t Planet”. The blog entry, the college football play by play, the picture, the comments. None of it was planned. I think next time I don’t blog on Saturdays, I might stray from the norm and not blog next time. Or not.
