Only 10 days until Guitar Hero III for the Wii comes out. Isn’t this the coolest guitar controller ever? Notice the little embedded wii remote.
The Nintendo Wii is so awesome – we bowl, play tennis or cow racing a few times each week and never get tired of it. We recently started playing Zelda but I’ve not invested enough time to actually understand the game, so Jaden ends up just walking around, playing some grass-weed instrument and calling down an eagle to do his bidding. If only animals reacted to my will based on botanically-inspired aural stimuli all the time, ya know?
I think I’m most looking forward to the new set list. The other features are — *shrug*. Using a wireless controller? Nahh, not important. New graphics? Meh. Improved sound? It’s ok as it is. Playing against Slash in a guitar-off? I’ll pass on paying extra $$ for that. But PLAYING NEW SONGS??!?! SIGN ME UP! (actually, I’m probably most grateful for not having to purchase a Playstation 3).
For the most recent release of the Guitar Hero series, I preordered the 80′s version and got a free Guitar Hero t-shirt. This time, they’re offering a gig bag, key chain, and designer guitar strap. Meh. We get great use out of the shirt – in fact, my 8th-grader is wearing it at school today. THAT ALONE will make only the truly worthy approach her and bother her at school. All the losers will see the shirt and think “that is one person I don’t want to mess with. She could shred me with out relying on Star Power! I’d better go do some practicing on slow mode before taking up her valuable time. That 5-star beaut goes all the way to 11 on a scale from 1-10 in talent volume.”
Who out there is going to go Guitar Hero III? Anyone?

I love the Wii, but I am waiting for a new Mario Kart. I never got into Guitar Hero.
I have never even played it.
That. is way. cool.
Now I wish I had a Wii. (Well, I always wished I had a Wii, but…)
Avi, we have Paper Mario Bros or some such – the one where you can go back and forth between 2d and 3d… But I’ve only played it once. We probably will get into it when some of the other games get ‘old’.
Christine, long time no talkie! I promise, you come up to Austin and you can play all you want. Caitlin misses you and so do we…
Why am I not cool enough to get a comment response? Did I spit on your, or something? Hmph.
Poppy *wipes spit off*. YES you are cool enough – way. cool. My problem in this case was that I was doing the comment response from my blackberry earlier this morning, typed in part of the comment, had my Dr visit, went back to bb a few mins after, typed in another part of the comment, drove a little, stopped at the light, typed in MORE of the comment and then accidentally hit the “back” button and lost part of the comment but didn’t realize it. I do very much love the javascript-enabled auto-save but in this case it didn’t help very much.
Poppy, Now I wish I could give you one. (Well, I’ve always wished I could give you one)
(Give me one what? A slap? Or is this a dirty double entendre?)
Poppy, my original intended “one” was a Wii, but now that you mention it, I guess I could probably twist it entendre-wise into secretly wanting to give you a Sweetheart Bear.
GAH!!! EVERYONE _STOP_ SENDING ME PRESENTS!!! Dawg gave me another present when I saw him in NYC. I will be blogging it.
Miss ya’ll too!
