Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

Almost half a year!  Now if only I could make GOOD habits last that long…

XMAS Tree, round 2

Last week I posted a picture of our almost-done XMAS tree, and now it’s finished.  Here it is with a complete bottom AND top:

Live Free and Die Hard ROCKED

Sure, it took me three sittings to actually watch the whole thing because I kept getting interrupted left and right, but I really really liked this movie.

live free die hard

It was funny at the right parts, had PLENTY of action, was superbly acted and it was somewhat believable (the “fire sale” part and many technical plot devices).  You can say Bruce Willis has this character down pat.  I liked most of the technical stuff in the background and paid attention to most of it, looking for mistakes.

Of course, it didn’t hurt to have the “PC vs Mac” guy turn from a gutless wonder to someone who actually could do what he needed to do to save the day.  His comedic contribution to the movie was priceless.

Celtic Woman XMAS Special

Tonight I received a call letting me know that Celtic Woman was on TV again but this time it was a Christmas Special

celtic woman XMAS

WOW! I started my DVR recording late, so now I’ll have to go find where to buy it because I love Christmas music over almost any other kind of music, and I love Celtic Woman almost as much, so when they’re combined it just blows me away.

And I saw across the top of the screen that they’re coming to Austin!  I saw them in San Antonio earlier in the year and it’s easily one of my all-time favorite concerts ever.  Well, except for Schoolhouse Rock of course.

You can check me out on twitter on that night and you’ll be sure to get some full-on appreciate for Celtic Woman.

And lo, the people did comment thus:

FYI, “Celtic Woman: A Christmas Celebration” is airing again on December 9th at 10:30 PM (on KLRU). I saw this in the guide earlier today and was planning to mention it to you at some point.

I really enjoyed Die Hard, too. Did you see the unrated version, or the one where they had to make it PG-13 and castrate his famous saying?

I loved how he took down the bad guy in the end. I loved that he was invincible and laughing about it the whole time. It was very fun, very light-hearted, and well done. And Mac guy did a good job. Oh, and the daughter was very, very hot.

Ren, thank you, I appreciate it. Do you like it too? Wanna get tickets with us? Have you seen the first two? I have them both on DVD. I need to return your books.

Avitable, I’m not sure which one I watched for the first half, as I just stuck the DVD in and it auto-played. But when I watched the 2nd half (after my interruptions) I intentionally went to the menu and chose unrated. And the daughter? I knew she looked INCREDIBLY familiar and sure enough, she was Gwen Grayson in Sky High – a great flick that the family has seen many times over. Funny, she doesn’t look two years older in this movie. Pity. Hmm, and she was in an episode of Tru Calling which you referred to here on my blog! See how Web 2.0 is supposed to work?

I haven’t experienced it yet but I did set next week’s airing to record. We’ll find out though it isn’t something I would have chosen on my own.

I liked Die Hard as well, not as much as the others, but at least the story didn’t fall flat like most sequels. Bruce is sure lookin’ old isn’t he?! Wow. And yes, his daughter was hot, but whaddabout Timothy Olyphant ?? Now that boy is HOT!! heh.
Oh, and Macboy; have you seen him in the orig Jeepers Creepers? That movie cracked me up w/the one liners ‘twixt him and his sister.

Hey, we all want to share our voice. And I particularly love comments, especially if you took the time to read my blog entry. I'll take the time to read your comment, I swear! But due to spammers, robots, and the fact that I want my blog to be PG rated, I need to approve the comments. This should be same day, but please don't get mad if it takes me a while to approve the comment.
