For some reason I skipped last week’s MISC posting. You’d think I’d have twice as much MISC stuff this week, or that somehow I might have better MISC stuff, given that I should have twice as much to sift through and then only pick the best, but maybe not.
Traveler IQ
I saw this over at Heard In My Cab. I love great little tests like this – someone did a good job with their Flash or Javawhatsit because this was useful, fun, easy to learn (I think I should use the word ‘intuitive’ here) and I left with some new knowledge.
I think I’ve always been bad at geography, but then again, maybe not. I was pretty sure I’d get a lot lower than 80, so I actually impressed myself. Given how arrogant I am, that’s impressive in itself.
I sure would like to see more interactive learning games like this. I want to be tested on my knowledge where the faster and more accurate you are, the higher your score. But if I don’t know, I’d like to find out and learn the answer right then. I think I learn best that way, or at least, better than any other way I’ve tried.

Avi, I got to level 5 on my second try. 125,851 / Level 5 / IQ 87. I was still embarrassed at the ones I didn’t know. And most of the invisibles in the series are great.
Christine, yeah, on that one I can hear Finding Nemo in my head. And your gravatar … still not sure. When I try to load your gravatar from scratch from gravatar themselves, it doesn’t show your gravatar like it does mine. That means the problem is on gravatar.com, not with my blog (which is a relief!). PS: Way to go on beating me (sniff)

Toben, I would have bet $1000 that you would get the highest out of anyone I knew. However, I fully expect you to do a few more test runs and beat that score. On the forums Louise mentions below, there are people in the 130′s
Louise, thanx for the game. My only suggestion (and I saw it in the forums, along with the reason why) is that I’d like the map to be bigger. Seems feasible to make a version for facebook and different versions for different sizes. But even at it’s current size, it’s a great game!
