Tuesday is a GREAT day for my Sunday series! It never hurts to mix things up a bit. Well, unless you mix up the sugar and the rat poison. In this episode I not only bring you more LOLcats than I’ve done in a while, but I also deliver a Palindrodometer.
Even those of you who despise LOLcats, I challenge you not to chuckle at least once at the list I’ve compiled this week. The LOLMonkey itself is enough to get a small chortle.
Dave2′s Blogiversary
If you don’t know about Dave’s FIVE YEAR Blogiversary, then you’re either hiding under a rock, or you don’t know who Dave is. Or both. This guy knows how to give stuff away (although, now that the entire winner’s list is in, evidently he doesn’t know how to give stuff away to ME. I’ll have to work with him on that)
Get this – the guy does a whole WEEK of giveaways. I added it up and it’s more than $500 worth of stuff.
Please sing the following to the tune of “Twelve Days of Christmas”
| On the first day of Blogiversary, my friend Dave gave* to me… the rules of his blogiversary. | ![]() |

*not!
I already have plans to order me a couple decks of those awesome cards…
THANK YOU DAVE FOR putting on such a great series!
I brake for palindromes

I beg you – please don’t ask me why I feel compelled to share my palindrome experiences with you. Call me a race car, call me Otto, I don’t care. Do you know what my favorite number is? I prefer PI.
Best of LOLcats
Here you go. And yes, I’m talking to you, Raganator. Oh, and everyone else, too.

^^^ sometimes I need this kind of TLC ^^^

Dave2′s Blogiversary this year was exceptional, even though each year I come up empty. And each year as Dave gets new readers, it’s going to get even harder to win something. Which is why I’ve resolved myself to simply bucking up and spending the money at his store to buy what I want.
And love the LOLcats. Some of them are just classic. I’ve even considered going through my own pictures of my 4 cats to see if I can submit any that would be worthy for I Can Has Cheezburger.
Your 12 days were very funny, except I want 33% of my money back.
AWESOME!
You made my week again!
Woo Hoo!
Still cracking up over these. Golf clap—-nice
A lot of your favorite LOLcats above are also my favorites!
And I love the palindromes, keep them coming!
PS – I won a shirt and buttons from Dave2! Yay, me! I think I’m supposed to wait for an email….
Last year it was over $1000. But because of the poor economy, I was forced to cut back.
Which you may read as… “Last year it was over $1000. But because the economy is in such great shape, I didn’t feel the need to be so excessive this year, and decided to cut back.”
martymankins, you have a good plan. If you buy Dave’s stuff, you win anyway! My fave was hitman monkey, followed by i dont getz it.
Avitable, *searching to see where I guaranteed something*, *scratching head to see what you’re talking about*, *wondering if you’re high on something*, *figuring that you probably ARE but that doesn’t mean you don’t have a point*, AHA! now I see. I only gave you 8 days. out of 12. Clever. Ok, now I’d like to redirect your attention to Dave’s blog, where the actual 8 days took place. I’m just the chronicler, not the author.
Raganator, well, they *were* just for you. Oh, and everyone else, too.
Poppy, I do believe I first saw the “#1 lik mai butt” one on your site… but I could be remembering someone else. I do that sometimes, Yolanda. And congrats on the winnings, Vikki! I hope he sends you a cool shirt, Crystal.
Dave2, aww, you failed to tell me which LOLcat actually made you laugh. Cuz one of them did, right? Or did you get anti-LOLcat software on your Leopard mac that prevents any LOLcat propoganda from showing up?
And come on, the economy again? Should we expect your contests to coincide with stimulus packages next year? (ooh, on second thought, don’t comment on stimulus package) I think I’d be fine with raising taxes as long as every American (no illegals!) gets some Blogography swag.
Let’s see… which LOLcat made me laugh? Um… yeah… none of them. Not even a giggle. I just don’t get LOLcats.
And I’m sure that Bush’s stimulus package will make our strong economy even stronger as people rush out to buy imported Chinese goods! Genius!
Wow, that Blogiversary recap was both thorough and awesome!
I got nuthin’. But I always comment because you are my closest friend.
Dave2 Not even the LOLmonkey?!?!?!
hmm, I didn’t know it was Bush’s stimulus package. Actually, Nancy Pelosi sponsored it on 1/28/2008 and it’s cosponsored by folks such as Rangel and Barney Frank. From what I read, the Senate voted on it 81-16, then the House approved 380 to 34. Bush signed it and applauded it. I also read that “To get to the agreement, Democrats dropped calls for increases in food stamps and an extension of unemployment compensation. Republicans agreed to allow people who pay Social Security taxes but not income taxes to get the checks, sources said” which to me meant Democrats kept fighting to give away handouts while Republicans said “ok, even people who don’t pay any tax can also get a tax rebate”.
Hilly, thank you!
Absurdist, wow, and I’m like 300 miles away or something. When you moving back to Austin again?
