Welcome to The blog of whall

Come on in and stay a while… laugh a little. Maybe even think. Read more...

Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

Ooops, I mistyped the above.

What I meant was, Have you Senior Photo?

Some of the bloggers I read have been posting photos of their younger selves.  So I went a diggin’ for my own photos and once I found a few, I thought to myself – my, my my, I suuuuuure did look good back in high school.  In order to distract the world from how I look now, I surmised I would post one of the better photos and ask everyone to join in the fun.

Here’s how it works:

  • Try not to laugh at me OR my photo.
  • Try harder, please.
  • Find your favorite high school photo of yourself.  Blog about it if you have one and link back to this post, or you can send it to me at whall at the name of my blog and I’ll post it in the comments for you.
  • Comment amongst yourselves on how good we all look(ed).

Enjoy!

Wayne is teh hawtness in this photo! Though I think you are over-accessorized. Necklace, bracelet, watch, and two rings? Gilding the lilly, baby… gilding the lilly.

Isn’t that perfect Shawn Cassidy hair? Picture needs to be in one of those “Survived the 70s” ads for Geico you see in magazines.

Well, if I had a nice pic like yours to post, I might have done it. Somehow I don’t see myself scanning in a photo of me with the bad perm, braces, and glasses. I’m doing you a favor, I swear.

Dave2, now I gotta go lookup what that euphemism means… (*checking*) … ooh, THANK YOU!

Avi, I’ll be watching for you. Wait, are you saying you were laughing at me?

Hilly, thank you for saying “are” instead of “were”.

dmarks, I definitely had the hair back then. I may followup with a great picture I have in our yearbook looking at our principal with a “yeah right” arms-crossed look and wonderful flowing hair.

martymankins, I dunno… I’ll have to re-look, but I think Shawn Cassidy stole my look, not the other way around.

Karl, woo hoo indeed! We could call it “secondhand reminiscing” where we remember OTHER people’s past.

Stacey, oh come on. DO it.

BlondBlogger, yup, now I see why my wife went out with me in high school. I snagged her when I looked like *that*.

metalmom, nope, no falling junk. I think some sort of manly retort is lying in wait here, but I’ll let it rest for now :)

Amanda, that bracelet was a special charm, with magnetic ends. It supposedly helped balance the body’s magnetic field and kept energies in harmony. I’ll have you know my wife DID go out with me back then and she’s still with me – how’s that for balance, eh? Beauty and the Beast kind of balance, methinks.

Raganator, Why thank you! (wait, did you mean that as a compliment?)
