We hold these truths to be self-evident

In the same vein, do I need to declare that I’m currently in an unscheduled blog-break?  Discuss amongst yourselves the merits of declaring such a state.

btw, I am staying active on twitter and utterz since it’s convenient for me to do while mobile.  Just look on the right sidebar for updates.

I will say that I feel I’ve been particularly thoughtful, witty and interesting while on my ‘whallks’ with Luna and Jupiter, which is when I do my uttering.

As long as you are accomplishing something worthwhile. I feel like I”m making a difference on Plurk but we’ll have to wait and see.

How can I survive without your Sunday posts and DITL videos? I can’t keep listening to your Utterz - too hard to do while working.

As with Adam, those DITL videos are quite entertaining.

And each time I play one of your Utterz, I have to pause my Steely Dan. Conflicts abound.

I’m having major DITL withdrawals.

No kidding. You sound like you are having a heart attack in your utterz.

I *prefer* when people announce they are taking a break (if they KNOW they’re going to take one, that is… sometimes we don’t know in advance & I understand that).

I don’t like going to my daily blog reads in anticipation only to find they have not posted AGAIN. If it goes on for weeks, I begin to wonder if they’ve abandoned it, or if they’ve perished.

If people take a break & know when they’ll be back, I’ll start visiting their blog again on the day they claimed they would return. If they don’t know the day they return and just need to get away for a bit, I will usually check in weekly instead of daily.

Essentially, my time is very valuable and I don’t like to waste it so I appreciate the courteous bloggers who announce their temporary (and permanent) departures.

A break? Bummer! Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it’s the “good” kind of break where you return with your batteries recharged and bright-eyed and bushy tailed, or something like that.

I have stopped using twitter. It encourages me to be angry or some other unpleasant adjective in 140 characters or less. It also encourages me to invest my emotions in misinterpreted situations.
