Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

wayne's 3-minute ditl day in the life
(DITL = Day In The Life)

Wayne’s 3-minute DITL #12 from whall on Vimeo.

(Direct Youtube link)

Episode #12 contains these tidbits:

  • Broken Parking Garage Gate
  • Practicing Pool
  • The perfect sandwich
  • What a chaperone does
  • VOTE!
  • Herbie Hancock rocks the stands
  • New car parts
  • 17.5 million what?
  • Let’s play “guess the game”

This week’s bonus footage: TRAMPOLINE TIME!

All in 3 minutes or less! (excluding introductions, credits and bonus footage).

Note: background music supplied unknowingly by the fantastic duo of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, key stalwarts that make up Steely Dan, off their latest album Everything Must Go. The track I used portions of is Lunch With Gina. Pick this music up if you can – it is amazingly good.

And lo, the people did comment thus:

  1. Dave2 says:

My 26.8 BILLION candlepower flashlight scoffs at your pathetic 17.5 million candlepower “flashlight.” My flashlight is so powerful that it can burn a hole through a man and incinerate small children. Now THAT’S a flashlight!

  2. whall says:

That’s why you are DITL – Dave In The Light

  3. Sybil Law says:

So you can take Jaden to a pool hall but I can’t curse?!!!
That kid kills me with his cuteness. 🙂

Sybil Law´s last blog post..A Post!

  4. martymankins says:

Hurray for DITL. What’s that phrase… “ask and you shall receive” Twitter works.

That sandwich was something else… I try to make them large like that at home… makes me feel like I’m at a real sandwich shop.

The bonus footage was cool…. perhaps the only time we get to see Wayne flip-flop.

  5. Poppy says:

    “not that it’s raining,” hehehehe!

Loved the Herbie, and am impressed that you had the power to make them wait for you.

  6. Poppy says:

Oops, meant to also ask — what happened with the parking garage gate? Did the security guard move it?

  7. Sandi says:

So my son read the DITL and said, “Diddle? What’s that about?”

That was an awesome sandwich. Almost worthy of Scooby and Shaggy.

Thanks for the nostalgia moment with the band in the stadium. 🙂

  8. Miracle Whip? Seriously? You had me up until that point. But for it to be truly perfect you have to leave out the Miracle Whip and replace with French’s Mustard.

    Loved the Herbie Hancock!

  9. Evil Genius says:

I’m with Nobody; I can’t stand Miracle Whip (or mayo, for that matter). But if you made me one of those sandwiches with mustard or even “naked” I’d follow you anywhere. I’m a HUGE sandwich fan!!!!

Evil Genius´s last blog post..A Dose of Happy

  10. Evil Genius says:

I didn’t mean you had to make the sandwich naked, I meant leave it…oh, forget it.

  11. Amber says:

Your son is so cute! I just want to pinch his cheeks! And I’ll bet 27.5 million somethings that he HATES that. Heh.

I love your “DITL” vlogs. It’s original and fun and you crack me up. Especially the little giggle you did on camera after showing off your “I voted” sticker. Oh yes, you did!

    Thanks for sharing :).

And now, I need to go make myself a sandwich…

  12. Avitable says:

Can’t believe you haven’t commented on my tribute DITL, my 4-minute WISC!

Avitable´s last blog post..I’m a fucking hot blogger and don’t you forget it

  13. Dragon Baby says:

You sandwich making skills are awesome, dude! By the way, who did you vote for? 🙂

Dragon Baby´s last blog post..Butternut Squash and Roasted Red Pepper and Garlic Soup

  14. Miss Britt says:

Did I tell you I’m stealing this? I’m stealing this. Although I know that it will never be as awesome as the original.

I’ve come to terms with that.

  15. Tug says:

You eat your sandwiches upside down…maybe you should try eating it while flipping on the trampoline?

  16. kapgar says:

I would swap the pickles for tomatoes and then it’s pretty much perfect. Sign me up! And what the heck are you going to do with 17.5M candlepower? Put some eyes out?? Can I play?

kapgar´s last blog post..I feel fine and I feel good, I’m feeling like I never should…

  17. Awwww, what a sweet moment when you say, “Have a good day, buddy boy” and he says (so adorably and with such excitement) “Okay!!!” He is so cute!!

LOL @ the flashlight! Hey, we did that candle/cup/water experiment today that you did awhile ago. Only mine was cooler. *grin* I used less water so when it got sucked up into the cup, it made bubbles and a gurgling sound. The kids loved it!
