Journey to Cubeville by Scott Adams (I think I owe this to Janna – it’s sitting next to a mailer packet as an annoying reminder.) The sentence: “… Then we’ll turn off the existing systems and fire up the new one.” Meh. Well, I have been doing a lot of systems migrations recently. Like using VMWare Converter to migrate a machine from a physical server to a virtual, and then I do exactly that – shut off the old and busted physical one and bring up the new hotness. But still, kind of blah. However, I did a second one, and now it gets interesting. The book? The Joy of Work by Scott Adams. (Yes, I’m a Scott Adams fan) The sentence: “If you’re playing video games or surfing the Web on company time, sometimes you don’t hear people sneak up behind you.” Ok, THAT IS FREAKY. Know why? Because I’m composing this at 5:10pm Monday afternoon, from my work computer, and just as I had found sentence 5 and was reading it (immediately after typing “bring up the new hotness” above), the Janitor guy spooked me by wanting my trash bin under my desk. I didn’t see him there, and he just snuck right up behind me! While I was doing my personal blog (surfing the Web) on my company laptop. Technically, I’m not doing this “on company time” because well, I already work too much. But still. What does this meme do for you? You don’t have to go to the trouble of an actual post; just put the sentence in a comment here. Who knows; you might win a prize! [...]

Ren, from what I can tell, the plugin will only pull your most recent post if you create an account with them. Otherwise, it pulls ones that are dated from three to four days ago. Avitable´s last blog post..I love the gays

Avi, I don't think there's any requirement to register for the plugin to function. In fact, other than the contest I couldn't find any specific advantage to registering, so I haven't. Ren´s last blog post..Amazing that mine also references golf…
