I started drinking coffee at age 18, when I was doing DJ work for church dances. Since then, I've been a regular coffee drinker. I have one or two cups most mornings, but can go days without a coffee without any withdrawals. I prefer a breakfast blend or a dark french roast with Coffee-Mate vanilla creamer (not too much, just enough)

I also drink green tea when I can, maybe a few times a week.

Coffee and I have a long and glorious history. My parents were caffeine addicts during my growing up years and by the time I was fifteen, I was hooked. I just drank the parental stuff at home and then my English teacher in high school kept me stoked with HER much more macho and designer coffee in her classroom. Life was good.

I got into a pot-a-morning habit. Yes, 12 cups before noon. I was working in a title office and it was obligatory. I wound up with certain medical issues and had to decrease my intake drastically, however, before I was 25.

Now, I'm 42 and drink one large cup of coffee a day, on average. My husband makes the BEST coffee -- even better than my mom's! *grin* I have taken caffeine breaks during my pregnancies, but otherwise, I am an addict. I know it.

I prefer organic free trade blends when I can get them. Locally, we have a Manatee Coffee that I really enjoy. :) Better than Starbucks! Shhhh!

Well now, not only do I love coffee, I know which beans I like best. It's become almost like wine which I don't drink so much anymore because of what it does to me the next day....
(Is that PG?)

Aw come on Fantastagirl, I'm ALSO only 5'0", and I can't live without the stuff. Give in! Be one of US! hahahaha!!

Seriously though, I can't drink just black, regular coffee. It has to be frou frou coffee - with flavored stuff in it. Then I can down it like a bum with a bottle of cheap wine. :-)

I don't drink the stuff - never have - heard that it stunts your growth and at 5'0, I just couldn't take the risk.

I don't like robusta beans but I like coffee made with arabica beans. It makes a huge difference to me. I never liked coffee as a kid because it tasted so awful and then I grew up and realized that Folgers is not good coffee. Now I drink generic 100% arabica coffee and I like it muchly, with sweetner but no cream. It's full of antioxidants, you know... but my dad's coffee still sucks.
