I got this in email yesterday and decided that I’m one of the stupidest people on the planet since I keep getting the countries wrong.
As you can see, I’ve been able to choose Egypt and that’s about it. So that’s one hint you get. That will make you 2.5% smarter than me from the outset.
One of the nice things about this little “Select-a-country” tool is that it’s a learning tool, not a contest or game. There’s no score; there’s no time limit. You don’t have to vote anyone else off your island and you don’t have to create back-stabbing alliances and put down your opponents.
This would be cool to have for EVERY geography.
- United States
- Counties within a state (or parishes in Louisiana)
- European Countries
- Asian Countries
- South African Drug Areas
- Amsterdam Hot Zones
- Canadian Beer Stops
I can’t wait to go see how stupid I am!

The Mac has a really cool game like this called “World of Where” that can teach you the countries from all the continents… as well as capitols and other stuff. Very cool. And very necessary considering there are school kids who can’t find Texas on a map.

The reason you didn’t get a lot of them right is because these countries are just generally called “People Who Hate Us” for simplicity’s sake. (Sometimes alternated with “Those Crazies Over There”). The fact that they’re individual countries is just a sidebar.
