Hi, This is Wayne. This is my site, my stuff, my blog, blahblahblah. The site itself is powered by WordPress and the Scary Little theme. I thought it was cool, and I still do.

Over the last week or so, I’ve been completely changing the way I use my Twitter. I used to tell Twitter every little thing that went on during my day and damn it, I was clever in 140 characters or less! However, this just in…when I tell everyone everything on Twitter, I have nothing left to blog about.
The way I blog? I am a storyteller. I can take an everyday little thing that happened and weave it into some fascinating story because that’s how I roll. Yes, I just said that. Let’s move on. Seriously though, I don’t like to recap in traditional format…I like turning the mundane into this big story that makes a great blog post. When I tweet the little things like that, it makes me go “eh” later on when it’s time to post.
Also, don’t even get me started on how people are spending way more time on Twitter than they are reading blogs lately. It’s like everyone has short attention span all of the sudden. I don’t like it.

Yeah, I’ve been there. My use of twitter completely replaced my blog for months. I tend to leave things for later so I can write about them in detail and then I want to cover everything before moving on with the latest news which meant that only after a week I had so much to tell that it was easier to just not do it and wait until I had more time to write that 50.000 word post.
I resorted to writing smart/silly/funny/whiny tweets that managed to kill my blog until earlier this summer.
Now I only tweet about the smaller things and when it comes to the important stuff that could be told in/as a story I leave them for later so I can write a proper blog post. I know that since I started using twitter I haven’t been as good a blogger as I used to be. I’m not only blaming twitter for this though.

Maybe you should quit Twitter, because I find you far more interesting on your blog.

Maybe it’s too hot to blog, like microgreens for dinner during the summer we do microblogging during the hottest months.

I don’t twitter, so I’m really missing my LOL cats
I enjoy twitter for what it is, just kind of catching up, getting a quick laugh or really wasting time at work. I still love reading and commenting on blogs and writing them. For me they are 2 separate things. I think it depends on the blogger, if they were a blogger who just wrote everyday exactly what they did everyday on their blog then twitter probably suits them more anyway.

Twitter annoys me, anyway, so it hasn’t killed any blogging attraction for me. I, personally, am not a faithful blog poster, but I definitely still read blogs more than Twitter. I honestly don’t care what most people had for lunch.
I’ve curbed back both my Twitter and blogging during the summer months. It’s not really intentional, but just due to the fact that I’m outside more often.
If you have to choose between the two, I’d say keep the blog and ditch Twitter. BUT if you are keeping both, I think there’s a balance that could use both to their advantage.
As a fan of your blog, my advice is this: Twitter less and make more DITL’s

Twitter is awful! I just haven’t gotten why it became so viral. Personally, I think it’s a glorified version of one aspect of facebook. The status update, and for some reason it’s a huge hit.
