My son loves to play Old Skool games - Twister, Connect Four, Checkers, things like that. I am pretty sure he wants to play Twister all the time so that he can heckle his old parents about their complete lack of bendiness.

If he wants to play games with me, they have to be of the non-electronic variety because I'm hopeless when it comes to video games unless it's Mario Bros. or Duck Hunt.

Two suggestions: Triominos and Pictionary were always fun for multiple players. Especially Pictionary. Very fun to try and make out what people draw.

OOH! We love game nights! Have you ever tried Scene it? That's awesome. Trouble, Mousetrap, SORRY!, and of course, Cranium! That's one of our all time group faves! Also for a great group card game, we play Killer Bunnies, fun and safe for kids too.

Transformers Monopoly sounds awesome. I always prefer playing the Star Wars version over the original.

I suggest Pictionary or Scattergories. Is that too advanced? What about Uno?

We have the Star Wars edition. I find it excrutiating. I do rather enjoy "Operation" on the Wii though. It's part of a Family Game Night package my son got for Christmas.

Mancala is the cat's meow. You can do it anywhere replace pieces with just about anything (small enough to fit in the pod) and can even make your own recyclable one out of an egg carton and pebbles, pennies, or marbles. My kids started playing this around 3 years old and haven't stopped...and they're almost teens. I'd have to say Mancala is indeed strangely addictive.
