Recently on 1sourpuss, she blogged about coffee cups that were embracing the vernacular of the times:

I had entered a comment that said “let me know when it says nom” and I was basically referencing LOLcats.  In my head I was thinking… “how long until the LOLcat phenomenon hits our every day consumables?”  More appropriately, “when I can bother people ALL THE TIME with my LOLCAT ADDICTION!?!??!”

Well I didn’t have to wait long:

Now I can buy drinks with LOLcat pictures on them and give them away to friends!  And enemies! 

So it turns out that ICHC teamed up with Jones Soda (the people who brought you Turkey and Gravy soda) to make bottles emblazoned with the LOLcat images.  And wouldn’t you know it, they’re having a contest to determine the winner.  Contest runs from 3/24 to 4/25.

And this time around, there’s even a voting page just for the contest (keen folks are aware that the last contest lacked such a voting place, and therefore it was very difficult for them to actually determine the “best” pokercat vs who had the most friends.)  (even keener folks will recognize that yours truly is a little upset about this fact).

This is something I’m DEFINITELY going to enter… I just have to come up with some good ones.  And this time, it doesn’t seem that there will be any penalties for making multiples as there is a voting page.

Update: I will put my submissions here for you to drool over, comment on, click on, plagiarize and eventually vote for.  Please vote 5 Cheeseburgers!

I’ll be upfront.  I want your vote.  I want to go to Vegas.

Sure, the Presidential Primaries are going on right now and people are tired of hearing about change, hope, promises, campaigns, and mudslinging.  Well, instead of worrying about which scumbag (or scumbagette) to vote into office, VOTE FOR THE FUNNIEST POKER-RELATED LOLCAT!  Even more importantly - VOTE FOR MINE!

The great folks over at icanhascheezeburger are running a Poker Cats contest, and I want everyone to pull for me.  The contest is - submit a funny poker-related LOLcat and the person with the most votes wins a trip to vegas (air, hotel and some cash).

UPDATE: How to vote:

• Click on one or as many photos as you like - you can only vote once PER PHOTO, but you’re free to vote once PER PHOTO; in fact, that’s my preference!
• When you see the photo at the icanhascheezeburger site, there will be five (5) cheeseburgers just above the photo.  This is how you “rate” the photo from one to five cheeseburgers (long story, don’t ask).  Just click once on the right-most cheeseburger to vote and rate it a “5″.  It should increment the total number of votes that photo has.

Ok, so I Can Has Cheezeburger released a new version of the LOLCAT generator, aka the LOLcat builder, aka mine.icanhascheezeburger.com (great name).  It’s really really awesome - you can take any photo, customize the captions on it, and they’ll host it for you so you just need to link to it.  How awesome is that?

So I tried it out on a few pics I’ve been meaning to WHALLcat, so here they be.  By the way, you can click on them to view them on ICHC’s site and actually VOTE for them if you want.  Or maybe tell me a better caption to use.  Or tell me to go stick my head in the toilet.  I’m all ears!
